It was my birthday on May 7th and I was so happy to be celebrating it in one of my favourite places in the world, in the company of people I love so dearly.
I woke up to the beauty of a breakfast you see above, these gorgeous balloons and a special present from the love of my life (you all know who that is lol).
The afternoon was spent getting my nails and toes done while Ty went to get a haircut. My birthday dinner awaited us so we got spruced up for that, then headed down to Beverly Hills.
Dinner was at Crustacean restaurant. I'd eaten there with my parents on a trip to LA about 10 years ago and have always wanted to go back, so it was the perfect place for a special night.
We were joined by the usual crew; Parker, Mandela, Hendrix, Heather, John, and I was so happy that Khristian and Pahge could join us too.
Crustacean are famous for their garlic noodles, which are delish, so I filled up on those, some dumplings, crab wonton thingys and a lychee martini. YUM.
At the end of the night, they brought out a cake which Ty had dropped off at the restaurant the day before - sneaky!. (He was probably just tired of me going on about wanting a cake though lol).
After dinner we hit a hookah spot with Parker, Mandela and Parker's sister and her boyfriend. I actually smoked and enjoyed it, which was unusual for me.
All in all, I had such a wonderful birthday so I have to thank Ty and everyone that I spent it with for making it special. Thank you to all of you for the birthday wishes via social media and text too!
One year older. A little bit wiser. Here's to the next 365... #27.
SIDE NOTE: The thing that's fun about Crustacean is that it's a great place for celeb spotting. When I went the first time, my parents and I met Bernie Mac. He had a very funny conversation with my step dad who had NO idea who Bernie was. Now, it would have made my bloody day if Brandy was there (I'm a bit of a Brandy stan and Crustacean was her favourite restaurant at one point - naturally the only reason I wanted to go there back in the day) however, this time we had Faith Evans sitting at the next table. Still counts I guess, lol.
